Algatechnologies is producing AstaPure, a natural astaxanthin, which is one of the world's most powerful antioxidants sourced from the micro-algae Haematococcus pluvialis. AstaPure is marketed in more than 35 countries to the nutrition, food and beverage, and cosmetics industries.
Another product by Algatechnologies is FucoVital, which is a proprietary composition for liver health derived from the Phaeodactylum tricornutum micro-algae. This type of micro-algae is a naturally rich source of fucoxanthin, a carotenoid which plays a part in photosynthesis and helps protect the micro-algae from oxidative stress.
