Alcatel-Lucent was the leading IP networking, ultra-broadband access, and cloud technology specialist. In 2016 Nokia completed the acquisition of the company and it was merged into their Nokia Networks division. Alcatel-Lucent Israel was involved inthree major business activities: sales and marketing; CloudBand, the global headquarters of Alcatel-Lucent's carrier cloud solution unit and the basis for future telecommunications network platforms; and Bell Labs Israel, largely dedicated to Alcatel-Lucents CloudBand solutionand focused on helping customers apply network function virtualization to create a simpler, more agile and efficient operating model for meeting networking demands.
