ADVA Optical Networking Israel Ltd was opened after the acquisition of Biran High Tech Advisors Ltd, a manufacturer and marketer of telecommunications equipment. The company offers research and development for streamlining mobile network operations. In 2014, ADVA Optical Networking also acquired Oscilloquartz, a developer and manufacturer of affordable synchronization systems for the telecommunications industry, with representation in Israel.

In July 2017, ADVA acquired the US-based MRV Communications with activities in Israel. Since then, ADVA has had additional production operations in the north of Israel.
