ActiveBase focuses on the dynamic data-masking market through its ActiveBase security solution and performance suite. The company’s software products are built on patented database network router (DNR) technology, transparently installed between applications and databases, through which database traffic is routed.
ActiveBase was named a cool vendor in “Cool Vendors in Application Security, 2010” by the Gartner Research Group.
In July 2011, ActiveBase was acquired by Informatica Corporation. Informatica’s Dynamic Data Masking is based on technology developed by ActiveBase, and its software products are trusted in the most demanding environments by leading customers such as Coca-Cola, GE, Orange, Phoenix Insurance, First International Bank, the Israeli Security Agency, and many others.
